Write a Letter to Your Friend Describing Our Visit to Rajgir
Hi Aman,
I hope you’re doing well! I’m writing to you from Rajgir, a beautiful city in Bihar, India. My family and I are having a great time here, exploring all the wonderful things this city has to offer.
Yesterday, we visited the Hiuen Tsang Memorial Hall. It’s a museum dedicated to a Chinese monk named Hiuen Tsang who came to Rajgir in the 7th century. The museum has lots of artifacts from his travels and information about his life. Learning about his journey and his contributions to Buddhism was really interesting.
On the second day, we went to see the Vishwa Shanti Stupa and Griddhakuta Peak. The Vishwa Shanti Stupa is a stunning white stupa with amazing views of the city. Griddhakuta Peak is a hill where it’s believed the Buddha gave his first sermon. We hiked to the top and the views of the countryside were absolutely breathtaking.
We’ve also been enjoying visiting the city’s temples and monasteries. Rajgir is a spiritual place and it’s been incredible to experience the different cultures and traditions that come together here.
We plan to spend a few more days in Rajgir and I’m sure we’ll discover even more things to see and do. I’ll write to you again soon and share all the exciting details.
Take care and talk to you soon!
Love, [Shiraz]
