Ruskin Bond is an Indian author. He was born in Kasauli in 1934 AD. He received his education at Bishop Cotton School in Shimla in 1950. He published his first, Untouchability. When he was 17 years old, He wrote his first novel, “The Room on the Roof in 1956.” He is a very simple person children and laypeople can understand his works. The most significant influence on his writing works is perhaps due to his stay in the beautiful hill stations at the Himalayan foothills. He has written too many novels and children’s stories. He is known as the father of English literature for children. he was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1992. Now he is living with his adoptive family in Landauer, Mussoorie’s Ivy Cottage.
